The folks at the Mark Twain House say former copy chief Joe Nunes will be at this event:
At 7 p.m. on Thursday (July 26), the Mark Twain House and Youth Journalism International are co-sponsoring a showing of the documentary “Linotype: The Film” at the Twain Museum’s lovely, air-conditioned theater. An old Linotype operator for The New York Times is going to talk beforehand about the machine that bested a competitor that Twain invested everything in… and lost it all. Admission is by donation to YJI and the Twain House. There is a free ice cream social at the Twain House beforehand from 5 to 7 p.m. so come early!
