Former Courant sportswriter Shawn Courchesne’s new auto racing website RaceDayCT is live and, perhaps as importantly, apparently generating income.

Here’s what he has to say:

I’m still tweaking some things here and there, and I think it will be a few months until it really is what my vision for it is, but, it is up and running, which for me was a big mountain to climb. It was a very cool first weekend of coverage, with a ton of traffic rolling in, far more than I had ever expected. Learning to be a salesman is definitely a new challenge, but so far even that part is going much better than expected too.

It’s always nice to see how talented former Courant people are and how capable they are of putting those talents to good use.
