Among the Tribune Co.’s emergence from bankruptcy scenarios, I vote for the clawback option. (See paragraph 10.) I hate it when people get rich off of others’ misery, and that is exactly what the pre-Zell Tribune management did when it unloaded the company into the shadow of the Valley of Debt.
Michael Eisner as the new chairman of Tribune? Jeff Shell replacing Randy Michaels as the company emerges from bankruptcy? Were this to happen, what is the likelihood that the company would take another sharp turn in a new direction? Would such a turn be bad or good? Stay tuned.
