I know it’s a function of Classified Advertising — not News — but the iTowns “Celebrations” page needs an update lest it be seen as behind the times.

I am speaking specifically of its offer to publicize civil unions — a concept that is defunct in Connecticut and several other states now that same-sex marriage is available. I don’t even know if any same-sex couples could be “civilly united” if they wanted to be.

Anyway, it’s a minor detail, I concede. But the world of words is particularly sensitive to fine points, no?
