The Associated Press seeks a temporary Statehouse Reporter for its
Hartford, Connecticut office.

The newsperson will help cover the legislative session, political
campaigns and state politics. The reporter would work closely with the
AP’s political writer on distinctive and competitive issues as Gov.
Rell’s final months in office, the race to succeed her and the ongoing
efforts to balance the state’s budget.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: A successful candidate must be a self-starting
reporter with a competitive spirit and experience with political
coverage. Knowledge of Connecticut government and multimedia experience
are preferred. The position is for about 12 weeks, depending on
experience, starting as soon as possible.
