Leeanne Griffin, who started her association with The Courant as an online producer for Courant.com, has returned to the fold as a freelance food blogger for CTNow.com.

Leeanne has her own blog Fun With Carbs, but now has joined forces with Java columnist MaryEllen Fillo to write A La Carte.

I stumbled on this the other day and then spent 15 minutes this morning trying to find it again. (Note to producers: A little more navigation help here, please.)

My other observation: It’s amazing and a little depressing how many former staffers are bulking up the operation through part-time and freelance work. It’s the a la carte approach to journalistic staffing, I suppose.
