Uhlinger Now Democrats’ Press Secretary

Dan Uhlinger, who worked  at the Courant for 23 years, has got a new job as a press secretary for a group of Connecticut House Democrats.

In his last iteration at The Courant, he worked out of the Manchester bureau covering government and events east of the river. Before that he was one of four readback editors who worked with me on the State Desk at night. (That was when we had readback editors and five bureaus to look after.) He’s also done some freelance PR work since leaving the paper.

Little known fact: Dan has (or at least had) his pilot’s license. Hopefully it will enable him to stay above some of the nonsense that goes on at the Legislative Office Building.
