The spirit of Christmas giving at The Courant / Fox 61 combine has manifested itself as it does each year around this time.

In the now ancient Period of Unsustainable Profitability, we got six week bonus checks.

This year the employees will be treated to free food in the company cafe (see Publisher Rich Graziano’s memo below) and new winter coats bearing the company logos.

Thank you for your hard work and everything we’ve accomplished this year!
As a small token of appreciation, all employees will be treated all day on Monday, Dec. 21 at Big Pete’s House of Eats (our cafeteria). Meals found regularly in the café and special foods that Diversified Vending will be cooking up throughout the day will be on the house (breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, etc.). The café will be open extended hours from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. As an added treat, the café also will be picking up the tab for coffee on that day. Cookie platters will be sent to the branch locations. However, employees from outside of Broad Street are encouraged to stop by for the festivities. The dining area also will be decorated for the holidays. Please feel free to take some time out of your busy day to gather, network and meet new colleagues.

And as a very special thank you, very cool winter coats with our company logo(s) will be provided to all employees. A table will be set-up along with sample coats for employees to try on and record their size for order.

These are going to be interesting garments, given the number of logos the place has these days.

A few more and the staff will all look like NASCAR drivers.
