Signs That Things Have Changed

Whew! For a while there I thought I was going to have to redo the Refugee Camp blog header, but according to the editor Nadine Hazell’s latest memo, apparently not.

Signs – The Hartford Courant sign on the outside of the back of the
building (the one you can see from 84) is coming down – TEMPORARILY.
It will be replaced along with new signs, including Fox 61. Also,
smaller Hartford Courant signage (like that behind the desk in the
Broad Street lobby) inside and outside the building will be removed
over the coming weeks for painting and to make room for new signage.

The South parking lot — Beginning Monday, December 14, all employees
and vendors will park in the West lot. The South lot (on the side of
the building) will be designated for company vehicles and vehicles
with a special permit. The Visitors lot remains reserved for customers
and visitors. South lot parking permit applications for vehicles other
than company vehicles will require a manager’s approval and must be
submitted to Hans Keck via email…

Awards – The glass awards case has a few new additions – including an
Emmy – and has been reorganized. The plaques will be going up on the
blue wall that formerly held the oversized historic pages in the
coming weeks.
