Out Of Montana

Former New Britain Bureau Chief Sheri Venema, who took off for Montana with former sports writer Michael Downs, has found the rest of us, and has this to report:

Michael Downs (sports) and I left the Courant in 1992, married in 1993 and spent many years in Montana (teaching journalism at University of Montana)  and some in Arkansas and are now in Baltimore. He teaches creative writing at Towson University and published a book (“House of Good Hope”) about some students he met while a sportswriter in Hartford. I’m teaching journalism at a community college, advising the student newspaper and teaching kids how to write leads.

For fun, we write a blog about our age difference. http://himplus17.blogspot.com/
