Apparently that little plagiarism incident involving the Courant’s women’s basketball blog was noticed at high levels of Tribune management, where it was not well received. Nobody was fired, but some suspensions were handed out.
Substitute bloggers have been posting on the blog for the last few days.
The paper didn’t make a big public deal out of it, but neither could it let it slide when it is the second such fundamental screw-up in a few months.

Courant reporters continue to struggle with their “blogs”. It helped to kill Gombossy (Maryland Prime crabs), Rick Green had to back pedal from his initial blog entry/reaction to the first HC plagiarisn flap this summer and now John A. is in trouble. Maybe HC reporters are serving too many masters—print and internet.
