Some of you who follow his exploits may have noticed that George Gombossy is working overtime to make his CTWatchdog.com consumer website a prosperous business.
He has purchased a number of Watchdog domain names and has been actively recruiting writers. He’s got a number of people writing for him already — including fellow refugee Denis Horgan — and now is adding another blogger to his menu: Dave Lieber.
Here’s info from George’s press release:
For 30 years, Dave Lieber, a humorist and storyteller, has used stories to help change our world. Dave works as The Watchdog investigative columnist for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and is one of Texas’ most popular speakers.
He is the author of two popular books, “The Dog of My Nightmares: Stories by Texas Columnist Dave Lieber” and “Dave Lieber’s Watchdog Nation: Bite Back When Businesses and Scammers Do You Wrong.”
His author website is www.YankeeCowboy.com and his book site is www.WatchdogNation.com. You can reach Dave at dlieber@ctwatchdog.com.

I’m not his biggest fan by a long, long shot but he is filling it up that’s for sure and bringing on board new advertisers.
He has “recycled” one of his old Courant pieces about banks however and the overall tone of his site is “helpful” rather than “gotcha” which I find ironic given his removal from the Courant.
Greg
Do you even have an idea what “gotcha” means?
Dog,
yes, I do…..you disagree that the overall tone of your website is helpful as opposed to gotcha as I stated above?
It is interesting to note that of your few attempts at “gotcha” on your website was a recent piece on BOA that you reused from a Hartford Courant WatchDog “column” you wrote some time ago and it got slammed pretty good by a few of your new readers.
Did you contact BOA about this and if so did they just blow you off because of your indy blogger status?
I do find it very ironic that your website is what the Courant wanted from you in the first place–more helpful and less gotcha.
