I’m apparently not the only one who thinks The Courant’s hiring of Geno Auriemma’s daughter is another ethical lapse. Check out this AP story on the subject, which I suspect will not run locally. (If it did, the managers would have to make a statement, which they are often loathe to do.)

I especially like the line in which Alysa Auriemma says she can use her blog to address “a lot of false press about my father.”

And then there’s this, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Both these pieces confirm my fear that the young lady has no idea what she has gotten herself into. Her excuse is that she is 23. The Courant management, unfortunately, will have to come up with something else.
