A celebration of the life of Fox 61 assignment editor Alice Morrin is scheduled for Wednesday, July 28, at Rockville High School, 70 Loveland Road, Vernon.

According to an in-house memo from Fox 61′s Nick Caito:

 ”All proceeds will benefit the Morrin Education Fund, which has been set up through Rockville bank to provide Alice’s daughters, 14 and 9, with an education.  Donations of all amounts are welcome!
    There will be facepainting, DJ, lemonade stand, a firetruck, silent auction… tons of stuff.  Hundreds are expected to attend, though organizers are planning for over a thousand!
   Items have been donated from all over- including tickets to the Red Sox, a Luxury Suite at the Rockcats, and gift cards to restaurants.  Attached are preliminary lists of what is available for the silent auction and the raffle fundraiser.  Others have already been added, including a package from Shrine Restaurant at the MGM Grand, valued at $650!
    Tom Mealy, Alice’s brother, will also be on the morning show Monday morning during the 8am hour.
   A lot of people have asked about volunteering.  Right now the most help can be used in the kitchen and for cleanup.  [The event includes a spaghetti dinner.] Prep begins around 1pm at the High School.
