No More ‘Real Story’?

In a post on Thursday, The Laurel reported that Thursday night’s taping of “The Real Story,” Fox 61’s Sunday morning interview show, was to be the last, but that host Shelly Sindland was staying. As of this morning, “The Real Story” was still listed on the Fox 61 website.

Speaking of which, The Advocate has a story this week about Sindland’s concerns, contained in her discrimination complaint against Tribune, that the company “was committing ethical violations related to receiving payment for news stories.” Tribune denies the allegations.

The Advocate notes that this particular aspect of Sindland’s complaint “has gone largely unreported.” That seems to be true. While the allegation was mentioned several places online, including here, we have yet to see it covered by the Courant. (Someone please correct us if we’re wrong about that.)

Of course there is a problem with this claim: there are no facts in the complaint to back it up. The Advocate made a good faith effort to give Sindland a chance to provide some specifics, but she declined.
