JRC Rising From Ashes…

…or is it rising from asses? Not sure. Anyway, we were so absorbed in the Shelly Sindland saga that we almost overlooked this — another example of why more and more Americans hate big business, including big journalism businesses. Not very likely that Tribune will be emerging from bankruptcy anytime soon.

Bringing Up The Rear

Even at a day old, this story is a must-read. I’m sure the Courant was scrambling yesterday with a hostage situation in progress and a leaner staff, but today they put one of their best people on the Shelly Sindland story. Additionally, the company took the unsual step of issuing a statement.

Here’s another sticky wicket for the newspaper folk to wrestle with.
