I don’t think of 40 as being old, but in the world of television news, I guess it is. At the very least it is partly the basis of Shelly Sindland’s gender discrimination complaint filed against Fox 61 and its CEO, Rich Graziano.
You can read more on The Laurel, and the complaint on CTNewsjunkie, and the story, but, for the second time, CEO Graziano is reported to be behaving in, shall we say, a way that could potentially be misconstrued with respect to one of his female employees.
You can judge for yourself, but it’s some juicy reading, for sure. (The Courant’s account is an anemic wire piece, sans all the juice except Graziano’s “father of her baby” joke. )
If what the complaint and story say is true with respect to Susan Christiansen, then the sincerety of those full page buh-bye Susan ads is heavily in doubt.

If Shelly’s account is accurate, this amounts to outrageous treatment of women at the station and makes one worry about how women will now be treated at The Courant.
Kate,
Shelly Sindland’s complaint is as accurate, as accuracy gets. The other shoe is about to drop, and drop hard.
