Former Courant reporter Andy Kreig will be appearing today to give testimony as part of a Washington, D.C., forum about misconduct of the U.S. Department of Justice.  The event will be televised from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on C-Span.

The forum, he says, is “based on the kind of reporting that I’ve been undertaking lately about misconduct in the Department of Justice.  It’s available on C-Span’s website www.cspan.org.  I’ll be speaking at the beginning and at least one other segment…”

“ I think a lot of us share the belief that these kinds of breakdowns wouldn’t be occurring if there was more of the old-fashioned beat reporting of the kind we learned at the Courant. The question is what to do about it in the new era. “
