There’s a major job open at Courant.com. It looks like something similar to what Gary Duchane did, or Jeanne Leblanc, or Naedine Hazell before she became Interim Editor.
There are a few new wrinkles, of course.
For one, the title is Digital Platform Manager. “Online experience is a must. Print experience is a plus.” The DPM reports to “the Senior Vice President/Content of Hartford and the VP/Content of Tribune Interactive for the East Coast markets.” There would presumably be oversight of websites for both Courant.com and Fox 61.
Here’s the overview. Note the use of the term “converged.”
Tribune Interactive-Hartford is looking for a change agent to lead our digital content efforts in a market that Tribune Co. is positioning to be its model for a converged newsroom with digital, print and TV professionals. We need a highly motivated person to help build a 24/7 digital media operation that gets people talking about us, to us and to each other while retaining the best qualities of our journalistic responsibility.

Is the Naedine job?
Is the Andrew job the editor job?
wha hoppen to the diverse decision making they assured the attorney general would be the case?
