I’m happy to report that there is life after the Courant — even a life in journalism.
I’ve accepted a job as Washington Bureau Manager for the financial news operation of AM Best, which focuses on the insurance industry. It’s fast, straight business news for the company’s newswire, Web site, weekly newsletter and monthly magazine.
And I’m still cleared to keep up with the freelance I’ve been doing (some of it for Connecticut publications), so I reserve my sacred right to produce overlong, overwritten stories for little money.
Also, I’m hereby introducing a standing offer to buy a beer at the National Press Club for any Courant refugee wandering into the wilderness of DC.
Jesse Hamilton
The Last Chief of the Courant’s Washington Bureau (RIP)
