John Ward has good news: (Seems we’re in a run of it.):

I’m really, truly on the payroll this fall two days a week at Middlesex Community College, as a supplemental instructor (in-class assistant) in three developmental English classes, working with some really terrific people who campaigned tirelessly to get me the opportunity and from whom I intend to learn a lot about teaching.

I’ll also be doing some tutoring at the college’s Learning Center, a very popular spot for students to get assistance in all kinds of college-level skills.

Yes, I’m excited. Very excited!
