Cliff, Bobbie Say Thanks

Cliff Teutsch and Bobbie Roessner were gracious and, as always, eloquent Thursday night when they said their “thank yous”  to their former fellow workers.

It is perhaps a measure of the respect they enjoy among their fellow journalists that people came from all over to celebrate the end of the Courant phase of their careers.

The Polish National Home on Charter Oak Avenue was crawling with so much journalistic talent and experience it was scary. Here’s a short list: Joel Lang, longtime Northeast Magazine writer; Bob Capers, winner of the paper’s first Pulitzer; Vic Kodis, longtime night metro editor; Tom Krazit, David Fink, Claude Albert, Bob Schrepf, Paul Spencer, Lynne DeLucia, Daryl Perch, Bob Englehart…

… speaking of whom drew these caricatures, which everyone signed.

I took a bunch of photos, which I will post Friday night or Saturday, as soon as I get them sorted out.

I’ll also tell a little more about Jon Lender’s talk and Bernie Davidow’s insightful comments about why journalists do journalism and why they love it so much.
