‘Reinvention’ = Teutsch, Roessner Are Out

More on the “reinvention”… from the publisher, Rich Graziano

Last week when I announced Jeff Levine’s appointment as SVP, director
of content, I said that in order to succeed, we need to quickly and
boldly reinvent who we are, what we do, and how we go about doing it.
The time to start is now. Our proactive strategy continues as we build
a new model and new media company that is platform agnostic and
focused on delivering more and better content.

I want to let you know that as part of the ongoing reorganization
process, Cliff Teutsch and Bobbie Roessner will be leaving The
Courant. Please join me in thanking both of them for their many
contributions to the newspaper over the years. We wish them well.

Jeff has appointed the Hartford Courant’s Assistant Managing
Editor/Digital, Nadine Hazell, to the position of interim editor.
Attached is the note he sent to his staff regarding today’s
developments.

So Sam’s new “shavetail” is Rich Graziano, eh? I bet he knows how to follow orders. He has already confused me, however (although that is not a huge feat). I do not understand what he means by “platform agnostic”? So far, it would seem to me that he actually means “platform atheistic”. Oh well, what do I know? After all, I worked in advertising. Anyway, I am sure that Sam selected him for the job from a long list of excellent recruits. I suppose that Mickey Mouse was not available although he, most certainly, would have been over-qualified for the job.

… and he can’t even spell Naedine’s name right!

  3. 3 good catch

Leave it to Denis to notice that a name was misspelled.

Is this the same Ward Farrell that worked in advertising say SOME years ago?

Robin, How nice to see your name. Deja vu all over again. I hope you are enjoying a great life.
