Probably the most profitable stake the Tribune Co. has in anything right now (with the possible exception of Sam Zell’s soul) is its share of the Food Network, where celebrity chefs are born.
So I suppose it’s logical that Tribune might sell it to Scripps Network Interactive in order to slow the sinking of the Tributanic.
As an ex-employee of the Tribune Co. — and someone to whom the company still owes $1,100 — I promise to uphold the value of this asset by watching as often as I can.
