Does Anybody Care About Courant Journalists?

It may be some comfort to those Courant reporters, copy editors and photographers who were laid off last week that there is considerable interest in their fate and that of the whole paper.

Check this out. The following two graphs show what happened to the Refugee Camp blog during the course of the “Mardi Gras Massacre.” The top one shows views per week; the bottom one, views for each day.

The single highest day was last Thursday, with 4,539 page views. The biggest week was last week: 15,515.
I’m sorry such interest had to come at the expense of people’s jobs, but at least people are watching.
