Now that it has Obamabucks on the way, maybe the state could buy another server or two for the Depatment of Labor. It’s website is clearly overwhelmed.
This is what the unemployed (like me) face each Sunday morning when they attempt to file their weekly claim online.
At first I thought my computer was malfunctioning. Now I know it’s something much greater.
Not that I’m complaining, mind you. I’m thankful the state is able to send me $519 (or some portion of it) each week. It’s just that I see this little inadequacy as a symbol of a much bigger one that starts in the Capitol and spreads in all directions.

If any of you night-owls are trying to use this system on a Sunday morning, I recommend the hours between midnight and 3 a.m. I’ve filed my continued claim in this period the past three weeks and have had no problems.
It’s starting to be at about 1:30 a.m. and beyond. A lot of people have figured out the midnight option and the system is really slow then. I can feel like I’m sneaking in the back door for a bowl of gruel . . .
