I think Tribune Thinker-At-Large Lee Abrams does all his writing on the weekends. That’s why his whacko missives hit the fan on Mondays.

His ideas, if they can be discerned from his prose, are usually hard to fathon, but this week he might be on to something when he observes that our counterparts in TV are dangerously out of sync with the times. … At least they look out of sync, he says.

Here’s one South Florida blogger’s view.

I personally would prefer to see Fox 61′s Brent Hardin and Susan Christensen dressed in business casual on all evenings except Fridays, when they should be decked out in leather and bling.

This goes double for Dr. Mel.  (He’s the competition now, I know, but would look really snap in leather.)  Techincally, I guess, he qualifies as a Refugee.
